LAME!

Remember when I moved to LA, "to write more"? Well, clearly that was a wise choice (from the writing stance) because I have not UPDATED IN YEARS and now my friends are starting to get mad at me.

So here's my little lame update.

Being home for the last 5 weeks and going out a lot and seeing people who I love upside down sideways and back again, and running into people from all walks of my life has been nothing short of amazing. AMAZING! Some day I'll write about all those random people I saw.

Here's one. This is my friend Dan. We used to play clarinet together in band in 7th grade through high school and he was my date to freshman year homecoming. Aw! Well now Dan's in a real band (Polymer) so I had to check that out... like 7 years after I saw him last. Us:

Last night I did one of my Top 5 Favorite Things to do Ever - see Dave Matthews at Nissan Pavillion. I can't even begin to explain how much I love that... the parking lot full of annoying frat boys drinking, how long it takes to get out, how everyone plays a different album in their car driving in and leaving, beer, the sunset, standing on the lawn barefoot... le sigh. The awesome:

Today I was riding in the passenger seat of my family's minivan (ah, life, you are crazy) on my way to Pentagon City. We took the Parkway and passed the bikers and came out into Washington at that perfect time of sunset when everything turns gold. The windows of Watergate glistened, a rower glided by on the Potomac, the Lincoln Memorial and neighboring bridge were that perfect creamy gold color.... it felt like falling in love all over again.
